A coursework quiz system with an admin authoring side and a timed student attempt flow over one REST API.

What I built
Rebuilt the quiz management system as a Vue single-page app on a Flask REST API, with an admin side for subjects, chapters, quizzes and questions, and a student side that runs timed attempts and charts past scores.
The problem
A quiz system serves two different people: someone authoring subjects, chapters and questions, and someone attempting a timed quiz and reviewing past attempts. Both sides read and write the same data.
How I approached it
- Modeled subjects, chapters, quizzes, questions and scores as one relational schema in SQLite.
- Split the app into a Vue single-page frontend and a Flask REST API, with token-based sign-in and separate admin and student access.
- Added timed attempts, instant results, a practice-mix generator and Chart.js views of past scores.
The outcome
Built for the MAD 2 course, so it runs locally against SQLite, with subjects, chapters and quizzes loaded from a seed file the first time the database is empty. It was never deployed and had no real users.
