HP MIS Prototype
From course eligibility to seat allotment: two connected prototypes for applicants, colleges and state administrators.

What I built
Mapped the admissions journey for Himachal Pradesh colleges, then built it as two prototypes: a bilingual student flow from registration to seat allotment, and an admin portal for scrutiny and merit.
The problem
College admissions connect eligibility, document scrutiny, merit lists and allocation. Applicants and administrators need a clear next step at every stage.
How I approached it
- Mapped the journey across students, college operators and state administrators.
- Built student and admin prototypes around eligibility, ranked preferences, document review and allotment.
- Made discrepancy resolution, scrutiny queues and seat-matrix issues visible in the workflow.
The outcome
The prototype won a state tender. The tender was later closed because of state budget constraints. Scope ended at discovery and prototype, before a production handoff.
